Where to Stay


Make the North West your base, then head out on easy day trips to farm gates, cellar doors and quiet beaches. Arrive by Spirit of Tasmania into Devonport or fly in, hire a car and self-drive at your own pace. From boutique hotels and coastal apartments to heritage B&Bs, farm stays and family holiday parks, there are stays to suit every budget and travel style.

Getting Around


North West Tasmania is made for self-drive adventures. Bring your own car on the Spirit of Tasmania or fly in and hire one, then set your own pace with as many or as few stops as you like. The Trail spans more than 200 km, so take it easy – there’s plenty to discover around every bend. Stay two days or five and use our self-drive Mini Trails to shape each day’s journey.
