41° South Tasmania & Georgie’s Café

Environmentally sustainable Tasmanian salmon and ginseng.

Located in native bushland, 41° South Tasmania is a family-owned and -run business focused on ecologically sustainable aquaculture, growing salmon in natural conditions without chemicals or antibiotics. The property also grows ginseng, and is a pioneer of commercial ginseng farming in Tasmania.

Take a self-guided tour of the farm to see how the fish are raised and watch the natural bio-filter system re-circulate the water. Explore the natural and man-made wetland areas, and wander along the banks of the Western Rivulet with its diverse array of vegetation and resident wildlife.

Georgie’s Café offers a variety of light lunches, including salmon sandwiches, salmon platters and salmon burgers. Browse the gift shop and deli for a delicious range of products to take home or snack on during your travels, including hot-smoked salmon portions, salmon rillettes spread and ginseng spice mix seasoning.
