Eat + Drink Your Way Around Burnie

Itinerary

Tasmania’s most westerly city.

Where the treacherous waters of Bass Strait lap at its shores, you will find the bustling city of Burnie. Four of the tasting trail members call the streets of Burnie home. Please welcome The Chapel Cafe & Brewery, Infuse Coffee Roasters, Communion Brewing and Hellyers Road Distillery.

The Chapel Cafe & Brewery is a cafe situated in an old church and pride themselves on great quality food and drinks. Infuse Coffee Roasters specialise in producing award-winning blends to delight their customers. As for Hellyers Road Distillery, well they are Australia’s largest boutique whisky distillers. Communion Brewing is the newest kid on the block and offer 12 taps and a full menu.

With all these incredible options available, Burnie is the perfect day trip destination. Take a guided whisky tour at Hellyers Road Distillery, followed by lunch at the Chapel Cafe, an afternoon beer at Communion Brewing and then head to Infuse Coffee Roasters to get a bag of premium blend. Wrap up the day with a relaxing walk along the beach at Emu Bay.
